I have had someone recommend the Juli@ soundcard to me, but others have said it is sometimes buggy and has poor support. I am looking for something I can use as part of a package to do post recording work on WAV audio files. And other recommendations? Any help here??

Thanks

I don't quite understand what you are asking but...

Revolution 7.1 $120
http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Revolution71-main.html
or
Revolution 5.1 $100

Sometimes this is overkill for most people, but I honestly can't do without!

ESI Juli@ is good, even comparable to M-Audio but no official drivers for Vista nor 64bit OSs

The Juli@ has the edge for interface as it has two sets of inputs. The Vista story is not a problem as I plan to avoid Vista for a long time. Too buggy and not enough drivers. But the Delta 2496 does look like a good one. I have the manual and will check it out.

The post recording work is editing/mastering and manipulating for a final copy. Resampling, etc. I am currently learning Samplitude V8. Nice. ;o)

Thanks

I've used a Juli@ card under Win XP for about a year. The drivers work perfectly - both the standard WDM portion and ASIO. I mostly listen using the unbalanced analog outputs but I recorded from LPs using the unbalanced analog inputs as well. Operation has been flawless.

I'm happy with the sound quality as well.

I'm currently using this external firewire device to record my vinyl albums. It is very compact and portable. I believe the sound quality is excellent. All of the D/A conversion is done at 24 bit. You can choose your preferred sample rate. It has a headphone jack for discriminating listening. I'm using it in Windows XP Pro.
