Full Version: Mac users: how do you encode?

I'm a longtime windows user, using EAC (and, lately, foobar 0.9) to rip cds to either lossless .APE or .FLAC, queuing them up in foobar2000, sometimes using the CDDB lookup to get tags, then using a mass encode to encode them to mp3.

I've been contemplating a move to the Mac, lately. What software tools do you use, that result in the same functionality as I outlined above?

Dunno about the same functionality, but I use Max to rip and encode:

You can set Max to encode to more than one format at a time, if you wish.

Max uses MusicBrainz for tagging. Unfortunately, I don't find it as good as any of the other databases - but YMMV depending on what you've got in your CD collection.

A bit outdated but relevant:

I'll second Max for at least vanilla point 'n click encoding. Make sure your Mac operates on the latest patch level of OS 10.4.
