Hi, my second question here... I am happy I have joined this community... this place has tons of good information and the people are very friendly. So... thank you for existing smile.gif

As I mentioned before I am a beginner into all of this... so please bare with me... I am still learning. I started this thread because I searched and did not see anything close to my questions... so here we go...

I am having issues adding my album art covers to my MP3s. I have used programs like; foobar2000, tag and rename, mp3tag, etc. but I am still having issues.

THE ISSUE - Some of my mp3 players will show the album art and some won't.

THE QUESTION I HAVE - I want to add/embed the album art to my MP3s so it can be seen on ANY mp3 player (at this time I have 3 players, a Nano, a Zune and a Sansa e250) or PC program when I play my songs...

I thought that album art tagging was like "text tagging", that the information you write; artist name, album name, etc. can be seen on any player. But I guess I am wrong... because when I embed the art cover some of my players will see it and some won't... and this is driving me INSANE!

So what is the STANDARD way to rename your album art covers and embed them so MOST mp3 players and pc programs will show them? Is this even possible?

You'll need to do both of the following:

1 - Embed the album art into the ID3 tag using MP3tag (I recommend) or some other such software

2 - Place the album art picture file in the album folder with the name folder.jpg.

AFAIK most players that can read album art do so by one of the above methods, so you should be covered.

@lanjackal - so do i write the word "folder" (folder.jpg)?

or do i actually write the "name" of the folder? for example, if my folder/album of where my songs are is called "nirvana unplugged"... do i rename my album cover "nirvana unplugged.jpg and place it inside the "nirvana unplugged" folder?

sorry... i hope i was clear... cuz i am even confused now sad.gif

thank you for your time lanjackal. i appreciate your help smile.gif

Name the file "folder.jpg" and put it inside the directory where the songs are stored, e.g. "C:\Music\Nirvana\Nevermind\folder.jpg".

Besides, the "?" and "p" keys on your keyboard are clamped.
