Just wondering,I cant find this Info anywhere, sen it asked once or twice, but never really answered.

Can Cdparanoia overread into the lead-in/out if you set an offset, or does it just add silence by filling the offset area with zeros?

I dont see any way to choose/set that, and for some reason I kind of doubt Cdparanoia auto checks to see what your drive can do and then auto sets it accordingly. Suprised I havent seen this come up almost at all, you would think that this issue would be talked about more as a major aspect in comparing EAC with Cdparanoia.

Also, anyone know hwo to check/find out if a drive can overread? I have a Sony DVD-ROM DDU1615.

Thanks guys.

If you are on win32, then do the EAC read offset correction test. Since you are only testing for over-reading capabilities and not the actual read offset correction value, then you can use any CD you like and it dosen't matter if it isn't in EACs database.
