This flac is not compressed from the original WAV file, but from an OGG file. I have the original WAV source, but not here. I know the noise was not introduced in the ogg compression.

The niose is there a bit before the middle of the file. It is not a click, but a bit longer. Is it fixable? I few trials with audacity did not remove it.

It is generally east to treat this in Audition with very satisfactory results. In this case the change in her voice at the same place as the scuff noise makes the treatment a little harder to evaluate. This was done with Audition’s “Fill Single Click Now” (I think it has been renamed in Audition 2, perhaps to something like “fix transient noise”).

Unfortunately Audition isn’t a linux application but I have heard of people running it under one of the linux Windows emulations.
