Hi,

Before this i have an issue with my X-FI. it's had crack sound when i use it. now i change my faulty PSU to enermax. and problem are just gone. biggrin.gif

When i use my old PSU. I have a lot of problem here and there. like my TV-OUT get fuzzy when use with X-FI, my harddisk crash, ETC. But at that time my X-FI is still work with no crack.

After i change my PSU. I have no problem whatsoever. My TV-OUT picture is crisp and clear. I add another harddisk to my rig and still no crash show up. My rig now run solid as a rock. AND.. As someone who know and enjoy this forum. This seem to sound crazy for me to say but i feel like sound quality is better than when my X-FI still work with my old PSU. huh.gif

I don't hope or have any thought at all that my sound will be better when i change my PSU. I just hear it. and when i think about it, it seem to make sense since my old PSU is very faulty, So it should not be placebo that i heard. but maybe it is. I don't know. unsure.gif

And i saw in some forum said different ram made different sound. blink.gif I don't believe this of course. But i better ask someone who have knowledge in this kind of thing.

So, what do you think? and.. Is there anything inside PC except soundcard that has something to do with sound?

In simple terms, a sound card has two different kinds of electronic stuff on it: digital and analogue. The digital stuff is what the processor deals with; the analogue stuff connects to the outside world. Your TV-OUT also has both digital and analogue sections. There are lots of things inside your PC that can affect analogue circuits and a dodgy PSU is top of the list.

It sounds like you had a very bad PSU which was feeding noise right round your computer. Digital circuits can tolerate this quite well though there comes a point where they give up, hence the disk crashes. Analogue circuits are not so forgiving. Your TV-OUT was badly affected and I would be surprized if your sound card didn't suffer just a little bit.
