Hello all, I have a problem! I've done some searches (on google and here) and cannot come up with anything helpful, but i may not be looking for the right thing.

Basically up until yesterday, I've used an amp and regular speakers with my 24/96 and that was fine, until i moved to uni and inherited a pair of Mackie HR624's and realised that the regular windows volume control and the M-audio driver volume control dont affect the volume at all, and these speakers are bloody loud!

So...is there a way i can control the (master) volume from my pc? as some of my apps dont have their own volume controls. the person that gave them to me had a recording control desk (connected to his mac pro) thing that had a volume knob that worked, is there anything like this that is just a volume control that will work, without taking up too much room.

I dont do any recording, its just for music and my general computer noises biggrin.gif

thankyou very much in advance.

(oh, windows XP SP2)

A little overkill, but this will do what you need. They work great, by the way.

How is it possible that DeltaPnl.exe mixer doesn't work?

If you open the Patchbay/Router tab and assign H/W Out 1/2 to Monitor Mixer, the output signal will be routed through the DSP chip and the level sliders on both WaveOut 1/2 and Master Volume will be in the signal path. Either will control the volume at your speakers.

thankyou so much! I have no idea how i missed that, i thought i pressed everything sinlge button and span every dial in the driver!

what a life saver! thankyou!

Oh, and Ron Jones, the person who gave me the speakers just bought a big knob, definately overkill for my needs, but still cool.

thankyou all again. Joe
