Full Version: So EAC 0.99x is incompatible to old profiles

What a MAJOR PITA! Just realized latest EAC cannot load the old profile files. I've got millions, almost.

Profiles from previous versions can not be used by this version of EAC. If you would like to import these, you need a side by side installation of the new EAC version and the older one. Load the settings in the older one and exit the program. Then start the new EAC and save that profile.
"and save that profile" - seems like this works with one profile and I'd have to do this one by one? AAAARGH! Anyone had a closer look at the issue and maybe heard of a profile conversion possibility? TIA.

Install on top of .95. The registry entries are on the most part compatible. All you'll have to reconfigure is the Drive settings, so you better save the drive settings to a dedicated profile once you've set it up in 99pb3, you might need it when you're intending to use both EAC versions.

For example in order to convert several old profiles, start .95b4 again (which should reside in a different folder) load the next profile, exit, start 0.99pb2, load the seperately save Drive settings profile (pb3 format), and save new profile and so on... and so on... of course if you only have seperate profiles for different encoder settings only, you don't even have to load the drive settings profile after using 95b4... wink.gif

Nothing PITA at all. And be sure not use pb2 since it's profiles are incompatible to pb1, pb3 and any future version of EAC.

Yes, thx, I've done that. Kind of sucked because I have around 20 profiles... Different encoders, different bitrates amongst them...
