Disharmony

My apologies if there's a thread about this already but searching is a bit difficult given my search string.
I like my songs sorted the traditional way (artist-album-date) but there's a quandary with this involving soundtracks; it sorts them by artist separately. Is there a way for me to keep the 'traditional' structure but when there's a soundtrack, it groups them underneath the soundtrack's name? For instance:
HELIOS - Eingya - 2006
1. ...
2. ...
3. ...
KILL BILL - 2004
1. Nancy Sinatra - ....
2. Tomoyasu Hotei - ...
Thanks in advance

Put the soundtrack's name into the Album Artist field.

Okay, done. Now how do I implement it?

By replacing %artist% by %album artist% in whatever part of foobar2000 you are talking about.
%album artist% checks the Album Artist tag first, then Artist.

Thank you very much. I got it.

I have another question. I'm using this sort by string to ignore "the" when sorting:
$if($strcmp($left(%artist%,4),The ),$right(%artist%,$sub($len(%artist%),4))', 'The,%artist%)- %DATE% - %ALBUM% - %DISCNUMBER% - %TRACKNUMBER% - %TITLE%
How do I shoe-horn the "album artist" sorting in there?

Replacing each occurrence of %artist% by %album artist% should do it.
