I just opened foobar and everything has gone...Its like my normal setup but all the music and playlists have gone. Anyone know how I can recover it or what has gone wrong? Otherwise I'll just have to search for all my music again.
I'm using a laptop and the battery ran out on me. I just shut it down. I didnt run foobar at any point in that session though. Not sure if that's what might have caused a problem.
check the program files\foobar2000 directory. does it have a database.fpl playlist? also, in the foobar2000\playlists directory, do you have any playlists?
This is odd, but yesterday the same thing happened to me. I had a number of playlists, and they just disappeared yesterday. Also, the file and the directory you mention above do not exist any more.
What happened??

The playlists directory is gone and there is no database.fpl...
It's going to be a bit annoying to re-do all my playlists!

File -> Preferences -> General -> Other -> Enable User Profile Support
change that checkbox, restart foobar and see if that makes a difference.

I sounds like he's on Vista with UAC on, which would mean that the user_profiles_enabled file would also disappear. You would need to give yourself write access to the foobar2000 folder, but as I don't have vista I don't know how to do that.

I'm using XP. Tried checking and unchecking that box but all it did was reset the interface. I think the playlists are well and truely gone.
I recently used the iPod plugin and Im not sure if that might have caused a problem. Anyhow I'm going to just redo my playlists.
Cheers anyway guys/
