Hi everyone. I just discovered that Foobar2000 are plugin-based (I have tried it earlier and I thought it sucked because it didn't have any features). Foobar2000 suddenly got great with a couple of plugins installed.
Anyway, I like to take my music with me (on my laptop, a macbook). When I am at home, I use my PC for gaming while the macbook is playing music. This works fine, except that the macbook speakers cannot compare to my surround system. I would like to steam the music from my macbook (iTunes) into the PCs speakers.
I know that I can stream from iTunes on my macbook to iTunes on my PC, but that takes a lot of resources and it makes the game lagg. I want to use Foobar2000 instead on my PC.
Is there any way to get Foobar2000 to play music streamed from iTunes? Or do I have to continue to use iTunes on my PC?
Bump. It would be really great to be able to play music on my PC.

though I am very doubtful that this (DAAP Streaming) will be implemented as a plugin or otherwise, I would be very happy if it was!

Not possible, since iTunes 6 Apple makes it almost impossible for anything non-apple to access shared iTunes Libraries.

You could have a streaming server setup on the mac and have foobar stream the music. You would have the added benefit of being able to easily change the music without alt-tab. I don't know what streaming servers there are for mac/iTunes though, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't one.
