Full Version: Strange Flac error when moving to new hardrive

I'm converting a number of live concerts which are in Flac and after tagging them and renaming (via Foobar) - I then move them to a new folder and off my external drive to another folder on my laptop - I get the strangest thing happening where one song will have an extension of .Fla not .Flac and it's file name doesn't carry on . My player still recognizes it but when I try and correct the name - and even reconvert to Flac - then it's as if the whole file is unrecognizeable. I'm very worried as I have a ton of regular albums which I need to do a bulk move onto other hardrives.

any thoughts???? Is is a problem with my naming schemes??

One of two things perhaps:
1) are you using a software to move the files?
2) is the hard drive formatted FAT?
