I've a portable foobar on an external DD but i can't tell foobar to take the letter of the EHDD in media library...
He takes a fixed letter, like J: or E: .
But if i plug my hdd on another pc, the letter may change.
I can't find a solution on Foobar, but i've found this app : http://www.artificialspirit.com/
And when i've added the path of my music directory, it detected automatically that the path was on a removable media, and the J:/Music path was automatically replace by #/Music.

Anyway luck that this function will be added in foobar ?

ps : sorry for my english, i'm french...

that would be very much like a network path...

it would be great to be able to just specify a relative directory path...

you could have the foobar on a usb hard drive or flash drive and have relative paths to the local music directory... and also paths to the directories on the most common computers you use (obviously the music won't always be there if its no the local directory) but would make the libraries much more portable...

I can't see a way to do this but a very good Idea if someone doesn't have a workaround of some sort...

i was just thinking about that the other day. it would be nice..

L.S.,

just registered because I had (a) similar issues/idea.

Would be nice to change the drive letter for the media library.

I have it on a USB drive and depending my configuration the letter changes.

Hope to see this in an update of this nice application.

Regards,
