I see that the Autoplaylist component has been listed under deprecated components on the foobar 2k page:

QUOTE
These components are no longer maintained and provided only for compatibility with old configurations that rely on them. Functionality similar to what they offer is now provided through other still-maintained components.

I use many autoplaylists and find them very convenient... Should I switch to some other component, and in that case which one?

Someone wrote a couple of months ago there'll be a successor... I think it was in a thread I started but can't remember...
Currently there's no alternative.

What I don't like about the autoplaylist manager is, I can't have my old queries back, the need to be stored somewhere else.

Good to hear that there will be a replacement, the UI for autoplaylist isn't very user friendly. Hope the new one will be better.
