Just encode the 48khz wav like you would a 44.1khz wav.

Use the beta mppenc 1.93j

No, don't use this. It's alpha version of future SV8 encoder and the bitstream format isn't final yet, it can only be decoded with mppdec 1.93j. Next version of decoder will not be able to decode files encoded with this version.

Thanks guys. I better wait for a more compatible version. I find this Khz thing a Tabu, I found out that waves and mp3s sounds better in 48khz and I would like to test it in mpc. Maybe are my ears, but yes I like 48khz. Be well. wink.gif

A reason it sounds better to you might be because your soundcard resamples all frequencies to 48khz, with poor quality. So when you play a 48khz sample there's no resampling and the quality is better.
A way to avoid poor resampling is by using foobar2000 with the resampler DSP, which resamples to 48khz much better than the hardware.

Encode it in the same way like 44.1 kHz.

48 / 32 / 44.1 / 37.8 kHz is supported by:

- mppenc 1.06 and later
- mppdec 1.06 (only file, no pipes and HTTP streams) and later
- WinAMP plugin 0.92 ??? and later
- XMMS 0.97 and later

When something is not supported, you got an error or and warning message.
