no its not... "show" is ballontip.... on activate the foobar playlist view jumps to the now playing file in the playlist

are you sure the Activate Now Playing option wasn't added by columns ui?

When I associate a hotkey to "Show Now Playing" and press that hotkey afterwards then fb2k activates the playlist the currently playing item is in, highlights that item and and also jumps to that item, just like what double-clicking the status bar does. It is not showing a "ballontip" or whatever you're talking about.

Now what is it actually that you want? From your description in the first post it must be "Show Now Playing", your second post wasn't really clear either.

Yes, that's what happens now when you use "Show Now Playing". Have you actually tried it?

Both are true...

• "Show now playing" jumps and highlights track that is playing.
• EXCEPT if "Show ballon tooltip on song change" is checked (which only works if "Always show notification area icon" is also checked, btw). In this case only a ballon tip pops up, but the current track is NOT highlighted.

Indeed, "Activate now playing" is not there by default.
Would be nice to be able to bind a key to it, in addition to double clicking.
