Full Version: 0.9.5 beta 1; cannot use %playback_time% in custom column

I created "custom column" with "pattern": [%playback_time% / ]%length%

However, the column shows only the length of the playing song.

It seems %playback_time% cannot be used in custom column.
Is the usage of some functions/fields limited to certain areas?
Or did I something wrong?

I have the same problem with [%_time_elapsed% / ]%_length%.

In addition the missing right alignment feature would be nicer with columns like this.

EDIT

I read the Titleformat Reference and noticed that %playback_time% has replaced the %_time_elapsed% string so we are speaking about the same thing (so far %_time_elapsed% has worked fine).

%playback_time% and similar fields that expose dynamic playback information are not accessible in the playlist. This is by design. The titleformat_help.html file that is included with 0.9.5 beta 1 may say otherwise because it is outdated.

Hello,

thanks for the explanation.

I'm sure the developer has his reasons to forbid use of
such fields/functions in playlist "by design" dry.gif

I tried to get used to live without playtime display in playlist
for a week now ... without success.
I have playtime/length in status bar now, but I'm quite unhappy
with this sad.gif

However, 0.9.5 is great biggrin.gif
