It would be nice to have "Open containing folder" in the context menu of the Album Art Viewer so that we know which image file is being shown, via highlight.

If embedded art is shown, it should highlight the file in which it's embedded.

Sometimes I have art that isn't correct or something else goofy, but I have a right file, but I can't figure out what's being displayed.

This would help.

Even better: Let the user define a double-click action. My CUI viewer was configured to launch Irfanview on a double click, my current solution to replace this is a foo_run entry, but simply double-clicking the picture would be more comfortable than clicking through the playlist entries context menu.

Regardless of the manner in which it happens, I'm glad we are in agreement that some sort of indication would be nice. Right now, the album art viewer's "Voodoo-black magic" implementation is very simple, but kinda frustrating. Some more info on the precedent it gives art files would be nice.

<offtopic>Although, I happen to think that my feature request is probably more in tune with the Default UI's simplicity. I mean if you're looking for configurable double-click actions, you should probably be using Columns UI.</offtopic>

That's what I did. wink.gif However, I'm perfectly happy with DUI as it is. The main point is that double-clicking the images should be capitalised on (Does this sound awkward to native speakers? Probably... Hope you get the message! smile.gif ).
