has any one succeeded in playing/ripping audio CDs with foobar running under Wine? All I get is an error message saying "No CD drives found" when I click on "Open Audio CD". I think Wine is set up properly on my machine, EAC works without a hitch. Using Ubuntu 7.04, Wine 0.9.47 and foobar 0.9.4.5. I really would like to continue to use foobar for my CD backups because it is by far the most hassle-free solution (I want replaygained FLACs with embedded cue sheets).

You may want to look at this thread: Running Foobar under Linux. In the first post there is a claim to not install audio CD support under Wine, although I don't know why (I have no time to try this yet). And perhaps you will get an answer more quickly there
