It seems that the mp3 decoding code got significantly slower in beta3 compared to previous versions (including beta1) - it usually reaches 300x decoding speeds but with beta3 it shows around and even under 200x. Other formats like flac, vorbis or tak (the first two is in the standard input library just like mp3) look OK

The code for MP3 decoding has not been changed for beta 3 at all as far as I know.

Me too. Beta 3(and Beta 2) slow compared to previous version.

Just tried it out. and it's true.

Beta 1 = 77x
Beta 2 = 50x

AMD 1800xp
