no,i delete them directly.

This might be the problem. Foobar doesn't scan the directories permanent. So I think there was a plugin called dirwatch or so. Or you must delete your music files with foobar.

If I am wrong please someone correct me.
wolfxavier
i can't find "delete" it the files operations anymore, so i wonder if i could delete files with foobar. anywhere, i'll try dirwatch. thank you for your help.

and is there anyone has different suggestions, please help, thx!

Was there a change? I am using beta 1. File operations -> Delete file.
I don't know if it has been removed blink.gif

I think I have a related question : does someone know how to edit the file name (e.g. "01 - title.flac") within foobar 0.9.5 ? I just don't know how to do it ! I can make the file name appear in the Playlist View, but it's not editable and it doesn't appear under "Properties"...

EDIT : I've found a way within "File Operations > Rename to". It works, but it's not very practical. It would be much easier if tags were directly editable within the Playlist View !!!

Columns ui is capable of this as far as I know.

I just had a look at the latest foobar beta and there is definitive the option "Delete File" under file operations.

Sorry, i don't understand what you like to do! Renaming a file or tagging it?

So you have the "file operation" menu? Go then to preferences -> display -> context menu and add the command to your context menu? Otherwise be sure that foo_fileops is in your components folder.
You have to seperate two things: Update of media library and refresh of albumlist. Album List (and Facet) now refreshes automatically after an update of media library so you don't have to bother about that anymore. I f you now uses the file operation component for moving/renaming/copying your files you also don't need to care about the media library update - that also happens automatically. Just for the cases you modify the files of your media library folders outside of foobar you need the "rescan media library" command in main menu -> library. You see: you really don't need something like dirwatch (that was a plugin for 0.8?).

Like I said, "editing the file name", in other words renaming a file, not tagging it. But well, the "File operations > Rename to" option works well, so...

Run the foobar2000 setup again and select the "File Operations" component.

Note: do not uninstall your current version, just install over it.
