So this is the setup:

I have a folder of mp3's, and i got to select them all to "enqueue into foobar". After i select them all, the only options are for windows media player. However when I only select 15 or less mp3's i can use the foobar option. As i select the 16th mp3, i can see the "Play All" toolbar change from foobar to windows media player. Really weird issue, i dont know if it is windows explorer, foobar, or windows media player.

I would like to use foobar for all my music.

With 16 Selected:

As you can see, when the 16th one is selected the toolbar changes and so does the right click menu.

Notice the Top Toolbar change from foobar to media player, and also the right click menu.

Anyone know a fix for this?

The same thing happens over here with ogg files. Using Vista 32 and foobar 0.9.5 b3. Registered file types under normal account not elevated.

Why not drag them into the foobar window?

I like to select the files i want to play then enqueue into foobar. This way I can continue to browse my selection without having to switch back and forth in between foobar and windows explorer.

I dreamed that it might be a registry edit that could fix this, but I have no idea where to start looking. Because it is partially foobars fault, but more than likely it is vistas fault

BTW, I cannot replicate the same problems as the OP (using 0.9.5beta3 and XP ).

I get the same, and have looked for a solution with no success for a while now. Happens for all my music file types, be it mp3/FLAC whatever. It's definitely a Vista thing - I've tried four different foobar versions.

IIRC, someone had posted a workaround on Oink's forum, wish they could post here!

It's definitely a Vista thing

And not specific to foobar2000.

there has to be a fix for this. Too bad oink went down, it was a good forum =P

Maybe someone has the fix saved or can remember what to do
