I want to rip Audio from my external CDR ( actually it is a internal CDR in a USB2.0 Box ).
Is that possible??
Becuase Cdex does not seems to detect there is such CD rom exist......

And i have a hi fi system and a VCD/MP3/CD player. The VCD/MP3 player came with a cable with three colours.. ( i think is yellow, red and white... )
And i think it is used to plug into the Tv when playing VCDs. However i saw a slot at the back of my hi fi there is a "AUX" slot in red and white. I try to plug the line in with the associated colour. ( i.e leaving the yellow out ) and to my surprise i linked my VCD/MP3 player to my hifi!!!!

Is this how i was suppose to do and use?? Would that damage my hifi or VCD/Mp3 player??

Since that works i now try to plug line input from my VCD/Mp3 player to my laptop. But only one speaker seems to work. The other doesn't. ( but when i plug it back to my mp3 player both speaker is working so this suggest that the speaker is not broken )
Why is that??

And does pluggin into my laptop damages my hifi or Laptop??

And finally i only have "1 sets" of AUX input slot in my Hifi but i want both my VCD/Mp3 player and my Laptop to have sound out from my hifi. How would i do that??

Thx in advance

It won't damage the player nor the laptop. The in/outs should fit.
I guess that the ouputs are coax (CINCH) while the input is minijack (TRS 3.5mm). The missing channel is certainly a problem in the laptop plug. It affects about 50% of the minijacks/coax adapters. Push, pull and turn until the sound comes back. Check also that the balance is set to middle in the line in volume control of the laptop.
