Any user who has recently upgraded and taken the time to poke around will have surely noticed that Ventrilo 3.0 has native support for WMP, iTunes, and WinAmp integration. I know how to play music over Vent without blowing eardrums out, but I'm intrigued by this "Integration" option, and I'm wondering if it wouldn't be too difficult for someone to write a plugin that could sent information to Ventrilo masked as if it were coming from WinAmp.

The Integration option, as I understand it, displays what is currently playing beside your username in Ventrilo, in the following format:

<username> "<title> - <album> - <artist>"

I know it's not a terribly useful plugin to request, but if it's not too much trouble, I'd really like Foobar to be able to communicate to my Vent.

Actually, there are 2 plugins that, perhaps, will satisfy your needs - foo_winamp_ipc and foo_winamp_spam. Try them
