A plugin that allows the windows screensacer to retrive data from the current track playing in foobar.
so that the screensaver would work as one big track info mod, displaying artist, title playtime and albumart.

is this possible?
foosion
No. The text displayed by the Marquee and 3D Text screen savers that come with Windows cannot be changed while they are active. While you could update the respective setting in the Registry, it will not take effect until the screen saver is restarted.
pnG
any possibility a plugin could immitate the built-in windows screensavers, and do the job?

ill im asking is a fullscreen track info mod, that displays when the computer is inactive for x seconds

Dont forget to use foo_winampspam too!

I use Samurize as wallpaper, but I ***believe** it can be uses as a ss also.

Here is the config I use in Samurize:

I can reccomend "NPsaver" from here(the link is down but if you d/l the larger package you can extract the installation exe with a program like 7zip and install the .scr-file manually)

Looks like this:

I guess this is a stupid question, but how do I get it associated with foobar2000?

Yargh, it hurts my eyes every time I see my "reccomend" quoted. It should be recommend...

Anyway. It works with both the foo_winamp_spam and foo_winamp_ipc component (I've have tested them both). The spam one have existed for as long as I can remember but the ipc client claims to work better (and use less memory I think), so your choice.

Oh, and to all you who want to use it. Be sure to set the "small text" to the same color as the background and you will be rid of the "ad" on the bottom.

Thanks!

I got more or less what I was looking for with Samurize and the AMIP wrapper (writing to a text file), but the NPsaver with ipc seems to be a much neater and simpler way.

However, I would like multi-line output of my "now playing", which I can't get to work with NPsaver. (I tried $crlf() and got two unrecognized characters in the output.)

For my own needs this (or this other) is successful.

Thanks
