There is a DSP, namely FreeSurround, which I really love, but tends to cause some major pops and clicks during playback at lower latencies.

Would it make sense to just apply this DSP when ripping audio, so I could remove it from my DSP chain?

Would doing so alter sound quality in ways different than it would if just placed in the DSP chain?
