Hi, I am looking for a comfortable way to switch the output device either with a hotkey, or some button. Haven't found anything documented about that. The only way right now is to go into properties manually.

This would be great because I am switching between different devices all the time (PA/PC speakers)

You are not the only one:

And I'd love it as well. I have 3 different output devices.
It would be great if it was possible to use this switching in the Scheduler component as well.

bit disappointing. I was hoping the developers read this forum. I was told that foobar is a work in progress.

You can imagine a lot of things only get implemented if a developer is interested in. I was e.g. surprised fb2k doesn't at least default to the standard audio output, if the previous one gets lost.

I'm sorry, I was under the impression Foobar is a free product being written in someone's free time. A certain someone who doesn't really owe you anything, Certainly not to justify that kind of attitude.

What attitude are you talking about ? I dared to write "bit disappointed" after over a week waiting for any kind of reaction. Are you developing foobar ?

Your reply gives the feeling of a let-down, As if you were guaranteed something.

Looking at my Group title, It would tell you i am not a developer.

Bah, give it a break you guys tongue.gif It's kind of tiring to see the same messages over and over again tongue.gif

I ended up using macro's to switch devices, by shortcut and scheduled.. kind of sucks, but hey, it works. even though I don't usually trust software like this ... it seems to work

What I did was change the audio device in windows and keep the one in foobar at default..

If anyone finds a better way, I'd be delighted to hear!

Per app volume/device switcher: IndieVolume might also be of help to you.
I believe Windows Vista has something similar built in though.
