Full Version: Question Adobe Audition

Hi, I'm a newly registered user here.

Have a question about the use of FLAC-filter in Adobe Audition 1.5

I downloaded and installed the filter from this website: http://www.vuplayer.com/audition.php

When I encode a WAV-file to FLAC using Adobe Audition 1.5, I get a certain file reduction.
This is off-course normal.

Now, when I open this FLAC-file I've just encoded again in Adobe Audition 1.5 and want to save it under another name, but still as a FLAC-audio file, I notice the file size of both files is not the same.

Did experiment with the compression settings. The file sizes never are a perfect match.
When I re-encode this FLAC-file using 0% compression, it even gets larger than the original FLAC-file (1st encoded). Is this normal?

When I open a WAV-file in Audition and save it again with another name, but still as WAV, both files are exactly the same size.

Maybe Adobe Audition is not a good way to (re-)encode WAV-files into FLAC-files?
Thank you for your help.

I have an earlier version of that filter 1.2.0 (I've just seen that they updated it on 12. November) and it works fine.
