Hello,
I used to burn all my audio CDs with Foobar. Now, last week, I installed Nero 8.1.1.0, but just the Burning Rom part (I don't need all that stuff they now include with it).
But now, I want to burn some audio CDs, and Foobar give me an error message with this:
This feature requires Nero to be installed on your system to function.
But Nero 8 is already installed. I had Foobar 0.9.4 installed, which I uninstalled. Then I installed foobar version 0.9.4.5, got the fooburninate component, but it didn't change a thing, it still gives me the same error message...
What can I do to solve this problem?
Thanks.

I'm also having that problem on Nero 8.x.x.x, the old Nero 6 works ok.
I'm guessing that the component hasn't been updated or you and I are not using and 'official' Nero Setup package (I'm using the 'hacked' Nero Lite Installer)
Afaik, the component searches for Nero registry entries, Yes?

Any news on this?
I also used the "lite" installer, because I don't need all that bloatware stuff Nero wants to install.

What I did was to reinstall Nero 6 (in addition to Nero 8 Lite). I never use Nero 6 anymore, it's just there to make foobar works.
So now, I can use Foobar2000 for burning my audio CDs and I can benefit from the improved Nero 8 to burn multisession DVDs.
Best of both worlds.
