the three primary contenders:
1) rane serato scratch live
2) atomix virtual dj
3) stanton torq
I've heard good things about Deckadance as well.

I use
Native Instruments Traktor 3. You can use up to four decks, and it can read Ogg Vorbis and FLAC, too.

+1 for Traktor 3. I totally disliked Deckadence.
Ableton is also "pretty" good

MixVibes DVS is also a top contender for sure. From the people I know who use it, the "feel" is the best of any - from scratching to beat mixing using fader only.
They've mentioned that the other softwares just seem to have too much "stickiness" to the speed lock and it screws up beatmixing.
I'm also not aware of anything that has lower latency than MixVibes, with proper hardware.
I'll see if I can get one of my friends from Ortofon to come around here and post his thoughts. They have tested all of this hardware and software, and know more than most are willing to admit about the crap quality of most of the hardware, and I'm sure some flaws about the software too.
I use MixMeister Pro 6 exclusively. It's somewhat limited, but if I was going to use a software that emulated vinyl, I might as well just use vinyl. MixMeister's fine-tuned control over BPM and beatmatching are incomparable.
