Hello,
I own a SE k530i and I am trying to decide which headphones I should buy for it.
Sound quality is VERY important, especially bass! so the control panel and mic on the HPM-82 are negligible .

As known, CX300 has an awesome sound quality and great bass. Its disadvantage is that in order to use it on my phone I have to use a fastport- 3.5 mm connector, which by my friend's experience- would result quality loss.

After reading a few reviews about the HPM-82 I understood the most of the ppl are quite satisfied by its quality, but unfortunately I haven't found one true comparison between the two.

As for the price- the HPM-82 are cheaper, plus they include the extra features- which for sure pump up the cost. that brings me to a conclusion that the headphones themselves are much cheaper- therefore much worst.

I have no doubt that the Sennheiser alone are better- but when it comes to using an adapter- it’s a different comparison which I'm seeking answers for.

So what do u guys have to say about it?

I would go for the sennheisers, I have them myself and these are the best. I think the quality loss is neglectable when using an adaptor. I always used an extension cord and I never noticed any difference. In a phone I don't know.

Also since you are using it on your phone chances are big you aren't listening to lossless formats so whatever you do there is always a quality loss.

That's just my opinion

sennheisers are considered to be top brand audiophones with exceptional quality sound output. i highly recommend you get sennheisers.
