Hi there!
I store all of my music in Vorbis 192kb/s (+FLAC on DVD) and convert it to MP3 for my portable DAP.
FLAC -> OggDrop -> Ogg, Ogg -> LAMEDrop -> MP3.
LAMEDrop with LAME 3.97 works pretty fine, but new version (LAME 3.98 beta 6) produces mp3 with periodic noise instead of music. crying.gif

Try 3.98 beta 5 since beta 6 is unoffical.

I'm just wondering... why don't you go directly from FLAC to mp3? There's a bunch of tools you could use (foobar2000...). And you would not lose so much quality as you do now with double encoding...

Thanks for the 'heads up'. wink.gif

This is fixed now, and a new compile is available at Rarewares. smile.gif
