I read on NewEgg that certain AuzenTech sound cards are capable of "Dolby Digital Live and DTS-Connect" that is to say it converts any audio into the respective standard of your choice. My Creative X-Fi Notebook normally outputs stereo linear pcm but supports pass-through of AC3/DTS through the optical out. Is there a software solution in order to encode all audio real-time into a multichannel signal be it Dolby Digital or DTS? I am only able to play PC games at 2.0 audio since my card only outputs Stereo LPCM. Pass-through is really only usable for movies.
