If I want to decode a MP3 file encoded with LAME 3.90.2 or 3.92, shall I decode to .wav with 3.90.2 for the file encoded with 3.90.2 and decode the 3.92 encoded with 3.92? Are there any differences in the decoding engines in these two releases? I use the RazorLame interface.

Thanks!

There is no difference at all. They use identical mpglib libraries. wink.gif

ok! Thanks!

But are there differences in the decoding engines in the .exe- and .dll-version?
Doctor
But of course! The exe version has been substantially rewritten!

(Just kidding, OK wink.gif )

I assume you're still talking about LAME? The lame_enc.dll does not include the mpglib libraries, it has no decoding capability.
