hello;
please somebody help me , i'm going insane !

Here is the problem :

I have an MP3 file (44.1 KHZ, 64 KBPS CBR, MONO)

and I'm trying to mux it to an avi file (divx 5.02, one pass).

I'm using avimux to do that.

Everything seems ok, but when I play the resulting
muxed file, it plays in double speed (with bsplayer)
or doesn't play at all (with Mplayer).

What's wrong ?

I just don't get it !!

Each file plays perfectly (right speed) when it's not muxed,
and double speed when muxed !

just a suggestion: try virtualdub to mux your files and see if you get the same problem biggrin.gif

nandub did the job everytime for me.

Use VirtualDubMod which has very nice features, including Nandub audio features.

VirtualDub plus Nandub audio + OGM/MPEG-2/AviSynth support

double-speed playback for mono streams sounds reasonable to me.. tongue.gif

maybe the very first mp3 header indicates stereo. maybe avimux always assumes stereo.
