Full Version: Looking for new wireless keyboard and mouse

Hey guys, I am looking for a new keyboard and mouse combo that shouldn't be too big. The keyboard should be more or less "straight", so no ergonomic natural keyboard suggestions please. Another important thing is that the insert, delete, home, end, page up and page down keys should have the classic layout (two rows with three keys per row). I don't need lots of multimedia keys, but volume up / down and mute would be nice.

Since I had pretty bad experience with Logitech mice and keyboards, I would like to avoid them. So far, I looked up some Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 (second generation) reviews and also "played" with the keyboard at a local store. The keyboard feels pretty comfortable except for the tiny left shift key (German layout). Another thing is that the letters on the keys don't look very well printed (gives a poor impression). Other than that, I like the set. On another hand, most of my buddies switched to Cherry keyboards and are very happy with them for years. I was wondering what you guys think about eVolution MARLIN SMART Wireless Laser MultiMedia Desktop and maybe eVolution BARRACUDA XT Wireless MultiMedia Desktop.

I was about to suggest this, but you said wireless, to which I say, "Stick to wired; security vulnerabilities have been discovered with wireless keyboards."
