I am new to Foobar, I think I have it setup right. When I went to rip my first CD to Flac it said the estimated time was over 30 minutes. I am on a 3.4 w/2 GB of ram. I am using Windows XP and Flac 9.4

Does that sound right to you guys?

the limiting factor in ripping a cd will be your cd or dvd drive. the rest of the system can only process the data transferred from there. in addition, doing an accurate rip will slow it down a little more to make sure the copy is perfect.

Wow, so that is not abnormal, 30 minutes?

I use Exact Audio Copy to rip to flac and it can easily take 20 minutes per CD, if done with best error correction settings to ensure 100% perfect copy.
