I have one tagging- or managing-problem. foobar detects double-CDs with two different album-artists as two different albums, not as one double-album, because, in my case, it use %album artist% and %album% for album-detection.
How do you tag/manage double-albums with two different album-artists that it is shown as one double-album?

Unfortunately i have no clever idea.

Thank you

//edit: I forgot to say that I'm speaking about DJ-Mixes with different track-artists, but two different album-artists (DJs)

I'd set the album artist to "A & B", artist to "A" for the first CD, and "B" for the second one.

Oh, i forgot to say that this albums are DJ-mixes with various artists, but two different DJs. Example. I think that makes it a little bit more difficult.

Thank you so far

Well, you could always introduce a field like "disc artist" or something like that.

There is no definite solution.

For searchability, I use the BAND tag as multiple values to put in all artist featured in a track, and use the naming present on the cover (i.e. I would put "DJ Someting presents Someone Else" as ARTIST and "DJ Someting;Someone Else" in the BAND tag)

This is sufficient for my usage, but you may be able to put multiple artist into the ALBUM ARTIST as well.

I think your first hint (setting album artist to "A & B") in combination with the second, an extra field like "disc artist" would be a good solution. I'll check it.

Thank you Frank

Maybe another option. I'll try it.

or you could name your album artists the respective names and group by album then cd then album artist or something to that effect

possibilities are endless and up to preference

If i understand it right, there could be problems when different albums have the same name. Ok, it should be very rar.

I have a solution. I made it how Frank proposed. I set %album artist% to "A & B" and intruduced the %disc artist% field for those albums and take the query
$if2(%disc artist%,%album artist%)[ '//' %album%]
for my Album Artist/Album-Column.

Now it looks like ...
