Hi friend, want to have some more comment for E-MU 0202 USB before purchasing it.
I only need a decent soundcard to connect to a amp and 2.0 speaker for music listening.
I won't do any recording so those extra input is meaningless to me.

0202 already has a pretty good headphone amp so you don't have to connect thirdparty. Though I wouldn't buy it just for listening - it's main advantage are portability and embedded preamps for recording.

I use 0202 with Sennheiser HD595 (headphones). Very good DAC/AMP combo. I havent used the device with speakers but I can vouch for its DAC being of very good quality.

Sorry for bumping the thread but i think you might consider this, if you haven't bought it already
I have it for a few days now, i if you gonna use it to connect your stereo amplifier and headphones at the same time, it doesn't have a way to control those outputs easy.
You can control headphone out by headphone knob, but there is no master output control like in 0404, so you can't control signal to your amplifier.
It can be inconvenient if there is no remote for your amp/reciever, cause you'll have to lower the volume on the amp itself if you are using to headphones atm.
