Full Version: mounting a EAC noncompliant CUEsheet

I have a question. Is there any software for mounting a EAC noncompliant CUEsheet? I want to re-rip this discs. I want dbpoweramp cd ripper to tag my new rips again (with service of AMG). The other options are to tag each audio file manually, or to burn to an actual CD and rip from that. Anyone an idea? Thanks..

No, there isn't any. But there is CUETools, with which you can losslessly convert it to a single WAV rip and then mount that one.

There are way more options than those three. You can still tag the rip directly with MP3Tag, which can not only retrieve meta data from AMG, but from a lot more web sources: http://www.anytag.de/forums/index.php?showforum=23

But I don't think it can't load non-compliant cue sheets, so you either have to load and tag the individual audio files or if you want the meta data in the cue sheet, convert to a single WAV rip with CUETools first and then open the new cue sheet.

Another alternative is to use Winamp (with a plugin I think) or foobar2000 (out of the box) to load the (converted) cue sheets and augment them with meta data, although not from such a wide variety of sources (don't know about AMG support via plugins). There are probably a couple more tagging tools, too, that can do what you want... but with Mp3Tag I'm sure it can do it. I don't use any other tools, so you have to wait for people who do to reply.

You need to make them compliant first.

I prefer direct taging, than re-rip everything for correct tags. I can't find support for AMG metadata in mp3tag...

Did you mean than or then? Tag editors don't require that you re-rip anything.

I think he's been smoking something. The only program I know that uses AMG is dBpoweramp and AMG requires a payed subscription.

Forgive my ignorance as I never thought about this. I solely use FLAC-images and CUE-sheets. When I test a new REACT script, I have the CUE pointing to the uncompressed WAV. I have no problems using Daemon when mounting this CUE and WAV. Is this CUE non-compliant for having INDEX 00?
EDIT: Thanks, Greynol.

Single-file image CUEs are compliant.

I will try explain it. (sorry for my English) I have EAC rips with non compliant cue sheet. Therefore I want that to open in Daemontools. I want these to rip with DBpoweramp cd ripper, so that I get beautiful tags. I use then the Metadata of AMG. Or are there taggers which support metadata of AMG. Thanks in advance.
greynol
...then you're all set.
