Full Version: MPC plugin bug?
Hydrogenaudio Forums > Lossy Audio Compression > MPC
SacRat
I've just downloaded the latest version of MPC plugin for Winamp and there seemed to be some troubles: it randomly transformed some fragments of songs into mono.

tech info (if any):
Windows 2000 SP3
Winamp 2.81
in_mpc 0.98g (IIRC it was "g")
Equalizing by Musepack
RG album based, clip off, K-14
Dither on

When I switched from Musepack to native Winamp EQ bugs disappeared.

Had anyone else had these troubles?
MPC files are not corrupted.

you should try using foobar2000. it's not as pretty as winamp but it's much better.

sorry that really doesn't answer your question. just figure i would let you know about it if you didn't already.

Are you sure you're using the latest Winamp plugin? The reason I ask is because version 0.98g does not exist. The last version (0.97i) had a bug with the mono/stereo indicator, but it was harmless to the output. Download the latest plugin from Case's site (http://www.saunalahti.fi/cse/mpc/winamp/index.html) and double check.

I bet I was using the same link for downloading.
Just used the latest beta...

2 calx: I'm using foobar sometimes, even though it lacks usability a lot...
