I downloaded an album compressed to one big *.ape file with *.cue file. *.cue file has all track names and all times. How can I play separate tracks from this big *.ape?
Bourne
use foobar2000, load up the cuesheet, and then use the Converter (in foobar2000) to convert the files to FLAC, WAV or whatever... or even APE (this one with the respective dll plugin). Can't get easier than this.

He only wants to play the individual tracks, not convert to them.

foobar2000 can not only convert to single tracks but also play them directly, because it's exactly the same same decoding-wise.

Very easily smile.gif

Load the *.cue file, select all tracks, rightclick on them and point to the Utils submenu. There you will find „Write APL link files”.
After that, you will get small .apl files in the same folder as your big .ape.
Now you need .cue just for burning smile.gif
When you want to listen, just drag those .apl files to foobar and that's it.
The advantage is that you can tag those .apl files (with APEv2 tags) so that you can have much more info than what is stored in a .cue file.

It also works for .flac and .tak images, I'm playing my own collection that way.

Cheers

yes, the APL solution works fine.

When I try to load *.cue file, nothing happened. May be this *.cue files are distorted?

Here are content of the files, that I tried to load:

Changing file extension from *.wav to *.ape in cue files doesn't help.

have you got the Monkeys audio plugin installed?

if not, download from http://www.foobar2000.org/components/index.html unzip and copy it into your ..\foobar2000\components\ folder and restart foobar and try reloading the .cue file.

I installed this plugin, but it helped only for one file. Second even not played. The message "Unable to open item for playback (Sharing violation):" appears.
