Hi all,
I have 2 questions about the convert music.

I want to ask you guys about the software Cool Edit , the software to convert the mp3 to some of the format. Do you guys ever heard about this kind of software. Where can i download this software?

I need to convert the mp3 sound ( music) to the sequence of bits data to put in my system ( digital PWM) , do u guys know which software i should use to convert it ?

regards,
Hanky
In 2003 Adobe Inc. acquired Syntrillium Software and the software is called Audition since then.

Could you explain a little more about what you want to achieve? Do you just want to decode mp3 to pcm audio ?

Thank ... Yah i think i need to convert the audio file ( mp3 ) to the PCM signal ( digital signal) .

But let me explain what i am going to do . Now i am doing class D amplifier, and my part is digital PWM. Here is the picture of the digital PWM

IPB Image

so my input of my digital PWM is the digital signal . I already built the ideas in the software quartus II (VHDL) to load in the FPGA. The thing is i need to have the digital input( for example 12bits, 200khz) to load in to FPGA to test . My prof said that i need to convert the audio mp3 to the digital input. He also said that he heard about the Cool Edit which can help me to convert the audio mp3 to whatever format i like .

That is why i ask u guys about the software to let me convert the mp3 ( usually 44.1khz and 16 bits ) to the digital binary to input to my FPGA.

hope u guys can give me advice.

Thank a lot.

If all you need is to decode an mp3 to a wav file (which contains the pcm data) then Lame can do that for you.

i dun know why the picture is so small . I try many times but it is still small .

Draftly about the picture

Digital input ( 1010101010101...11010) ---> sampling process ( delta compensation ) ---> pulse generator---> output stage --> low pass filter...
