I am really happy with the changes to the UI in 9.5, it eliminated half of the plugins that I used to use. However, I am a bit disappointed that I still can't customize my toolbar button icons, BUT since I know that icon customization is being looked at for the next version I'm not too worried.
Still, I wanted to see if I could hack the files myself and replace the icons manually. After some searching I found the toolbar button icons in foo_ui_std.dll and replaced the 16x16 ones with some simple icons that I liked. I opened Foobar and I saw my own icons there: success! Unfortunately, when I went into Preferences, the tree items Default User Interface > Colors and Fonts, Playlist View gave me an error: Could not complete Preferences page. The operation completed successfully.
I wanted different icons, and I suppose that Foobar is still usable like this for playing music, but I won't use it if it's "broken". SO, I just saved this as a test folder somewhere else, and reinstalled.
Has anyone else tried this?
