More customization for the album art panel...
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....mp;#entry535564

A feature for album list...
Ok, thing is... my double-click action is "expand/collapse" and middle-click action is "send to current playlist"...
Before the new 9.5 stuff... I was using ColumnsUI with foo_uie_albumlist_panel.dll ... there was a very comfortable way adding the selected items to the playlist... you clicked on something... and WHOOOOHOO... there is an autogenerated playlist called "library view" where all the containing items were automatically added... without pressing the middle button...
It would be a nice feature to the "normal" AlbumList. Maybe with an option disabling this feature directly on the panel, where you have the view selector and filter... wink.gif

Playlist view...
1. A custom sort feature for the columns... smile.gif
2. Protected Playlists. It often happens... that I destroy my playlists by clicking unwisely the album list... wink.gif
3. left, right, center alignment for personalized columns... (ehm... is there a way by using the scripting language?)

A lyric panel plugin...
already mentioned here: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=60333

Panels itself...
Panels that do not change size when changing size of the foobar main window... it's very annoying for the album art panel...

Thanks for hearing me out... smile.gif

First of all, please do not repeat already known suggestions.

Use Edit/Undo. With the playlist manager UI element, you can even restore removed playlists.

You can lock the size of individual elements. Activate the layout editing mode and right-click on the bordering splitters.

As a matter of fact, the album art viewer is locked by default in predefined layouts.

See Edit/Undo to revert unwanted changes, or use Edit/Read-only from foo_utils to prevent changes to playlist contents for specific playlists.

Already possible. Switch to layout editing mode and lock the width or height of the appropriate pane in the containing splitter(s). By the way, panels are UI extensions for Columns UI, the UI extensions for the Default UI are called UI Elements. They are not interchangeable, so the distinction (in speech) is important.

I won't comment on the other items in your list as they are only repetitions of known and acknowledged feature proposals.

Shame on me...!

Well, I have a few other ideas, I don't know if any of them have been discussed and I hesitated to open a new thread for them, but...

- The ability to switch (load) themes on hotkey/menu/UI element would be great, I could define different views and switch easily between them (now it's rather complicated)
- To define which columns should change their width stretching the main window would also be nice (but in the absence of this future I locked the width of my foobar window, so it's not that important for me tongue.gif)
- To be able to tell which columns should be aligned to the right <- but this one is alrady among the 'proposals' smile.gif

And a question: what is shown under the OTHER section of the track info element? I've never seen any track that would show something there, though they have an 'other' section when I look their properties.

Now this is a good moment to reiterate a few guidelines for posting feature proposals. Before posting your ideas, do the following:
  • Check the known feature proposals. If it is on there, do not bother to post. After all, we already know about it, and if we wanted to know how many people want a particular feature, we would create a poll.
  • Check (search) if there is an existing topic about it. If there is and your idea expands on the idea presented there, post in this topic. If it is the same idea as yours, there is no need to post - especially not one of those annoying "me too" or "+1" posts. Nobody adds those up anyway.
  • Hurray, you seem to have a new idea! Now go and create a new topic for it in the appropriate forum.
Another thing: It is rather easy for the moderation to merge a post into an existing topic, but it is impossible to split a post about several unrelated issues. So if you have two (unrelated) things you want to talk about, you should create two separate posts. The next person who searches the forum will thank you.

You could add your custom themes to the Main Layout section of the Quick Appearance Setup dialog. How that is done should of course be discussed in a dedicated thread. *hint*

I do not want to encourage posting off-topic questions so I will answer it here.

Jep... but pressing CTRL+Z a thousand times can be exhausting after a while... wink.gif
Hm... I think "opening" a playlist just for changing smth. could be a nice feature... cool.gif <-- cool...!
