Full Version: prevent loading file AND cue tracks on drop

Hi!

I usually use drag & drop from a file explorer to add the files of a folder and its sub folders to a foobar playlist. But if cue sheets are included both types are loaded: the whole files and the single tracks from the cue sheets. I don't want to have them both in a playlist. Usually I only need one of them. Is there a way to prevent this?

I know the problem. I guess it's the cuesheet contents what he wants to see, but not the audio file, so exclusion may not be an option. I embed the cuesheets and don't keep them as files... (But the file type needs to support embedding of cue's).

Thank you for the tip.

It is right that sometimes I want to exclude the file and load the cue sheet content. My suggestion for the developer would be to make foobar popup a context menu on drop that lets me choose what kind of thing I want to add to the playlist, just in case they are both existent in the folder that I want to add. We know these small popups from doing inter-playlist dropping.

The best solution i found (here on this board) is to rename the files with corresponding cuesheets from "*.mp3" to "*.cue.mp3" for example, an then exclude "*.cue.*". Works perfectly.
