Kernel Streaming is not officially supported in Vista. The new sound stack is finally good enough that KS is no longer needed. Is there a reason you want to use KS? I know that the Realtek HD audio drivers have a bug that ruins bass response, but there is a workaround for it. I'm in the process of posting a message in the hardware thread that will include frequency response curves and the workaround. If you have good bass response, there really isn't any reason to use KS or ASIO in Vista. The new sound stack is capable of bit perfect sound, and KS endpoints are only available for some codecs.
