I need help with some Foobar sound options. Now, before I get into the details, I am aware of the blind listening tests that are required, however, in this case I cannot find an "official" suitable way to do it, as I have to compare several audio programs, and not several files. If anyone has any insight on how to do that please by all means let me know and I will do so accordingly. Anyway, mp3s in foobar sound muffled, have a reduced soundstage, and do not sound as bright compared to other audio programs on my PC (itunes and windows media player) as well as itunes on my macbook pro. All I really want to know is if there are any audio options in foobar that would control this sort of sound behavior. I did try to change a bunch of options and I tried playing with the equalizer and it didn't seem to do much at all. For what it's worth, my soundcard options remained the same when listening to the mp3 with itunes, foobar, and windows media player. Again, I'm sorry about not being able to provide listening test results to support my claim but it's simply because of the fact that I cannot to my knowledge do so. If there's any way I can correct this issue, I would love to hear it, as I love foobar, or is there's a way I can provide some hard test results to you, let me know (but remember, I am not comparing two mp3s of different bitrates or anything of the sort, I am comparing the sound output of a single mp3 being played by several different audo programs). Thanks!

Could it be that your MP3s are merely played with an adjusted and probably lower volume due to ReplayGain?
Screenshots of your playback preferences as well as the DSP manager and output settings would be helpful.

I tried turning off ReplayGain, but it sounds the same, unfortunately.
Here are the screen shots you requested:
