Hi,

I have a project where I need to transcode > 150 000 mp2 files to AC3 (Dolby Digital).
These files will then be broadcast over television networks, so quality and compatibility is of major importance.

I've experimented with VLC and the Aften encoders, which both seem to produce working files, but I'm concerned with quality / compatibility.

I also need to be able to play with the dialnorm setting.

I'm also looking at buying a hardware encoder directly from Dolby, but they don't seem to be as flexible...

Any ideas or comments ?

Thanks !

Phil
