Title amended.

Following much bitching and moaning, I would be very interested to see ABX results posted; however, my 'concern' is that only those with golden ears will bother, and therefore the results will be skewed.

I guess I should attempt it, and put my money where my mouth is. biggrin.gif I can't ABX 96kbps AAC though (in the limited tests I performed)...

But you weren't one of the people moaning. Those people will wait for those able to discern the difference (rarely the ones that moan I might add) to produce results, refer to those results without providing thier own, then get all self-righteous. biggrin.gif

I pointed out some ticks in the MP3s (something the "moaners" failed to spot) and someone responded by saying "Ya, I hear those 'tics' as well guys. Odd, but not unheard of in MP3 encodings." I asked for an elaboration knowing it had chuff all to do with MP3 ... it turns out those ticks are in my CD aswell. smile.gif

I own the CD and I still haven't deleted the original CBR MP3's that I downloaded when it was first available. I've been meaning to ABX it, but I don't really see a point--I don't have high hopes to discover a difference.

But if no one posts results the next time I check this thread, I'll throw my proverbial hat into the ring wink.gif
